St Mary and St Nicolas Church Activities
Refreshments and cream teas.
We will have refreshments 10-4 on Saturday (1-4 on the Sunday) with strawberry cream teas in the afternoons.
Parachuting teddy bears!
“Calling all teddy bears, young and not so young!
Is your bear brave enough to meet the challenge of a free fall parachute jump from the top of St Mary and St Nicolas tower?
Come along with your bear, on Saturday 9th July from 1pm. There will be the resources to make your bear’s very own parachute. They will be escorted up the tower and you can cheer them on as you watch their descent from the ground. There will be a fee of £1 per jump.”
Knitted churches from around the county.
“St Mary and St Nicolas will be hosting the wonderful collection of knitted churches “Woolly Spires”. Our very own St Mary and St Nicolas along with St Denys’, Sleaford, St Wulframs, Grantham, St Botolph’s, Boston and St James in Louth will be on display throughout the summer.
Local knitting groups, across Lincolnshire, have created amazingly detailed woollen versions of their churches which are displayed over a wooden base.
Do come and have a look, there is no charge!”
